Adonis trail

A loop from the Baths of Aphrodite. For the first 2.5 km the trail runs together with the Aphrodite trail, up to the ruins of Pyrgos tis Rigainas. Then it heads southeast through the Kefalovrysia area and returns to the Baths. Along the way: views of Polis Chrysochous, the Paphos Forest and Akamas.

Colours work like ski runs and match the app: they come from the length, the climbs and the steepness. Highest point: 350 m.

Where to start

The official start is on the Latchi–Baths of Aphrodite road, 400 m before the Baths. It’s easier to start from the parking area at the Baths: the loop covers those 400 m of road anyway.

Before you go

The hardest category on the Department of Forests scale: the third of three.

The water at the Kefalovrysia fountain is not drinkable. Bring your own.

The last 400 m of the loop follow a road. Watch out for cars.

The trail is part of the European long-distance path E4. Bicycles and motorcycles are banned on it.

Lighting fires in state forests and within 2 km of their boundary is forbidden. To report a fire, call 1407 — the call is free.
