Mont Boron and Cap de Nice trail

A loop from the port of Nice. First the coastal path of Cap de Nice between rocks and houses above the cliff, then a climb into the Mont Boron forest park. At the top, the Bellevue path circles a fort at 191 m, with a view of the whole Bay of Angels. Down by wide stairways.

Colours work like ski runs and match the app: they come from the length, the climbs and the steepness. Highest point: 179 m.

Where to start

La Réserve beach past the port of Nice, opposite the harbor lighthouse. City buses stop here. You can leave a car on Boulevard Franck Pilatte.

Before you go

The section near the cape runs right by the water. In storms the city closes the coastal path, as it did on October 20, 2026.

The trail crosses the Basse Corniche, a busy road, twice. Cross at the traffic lights and the pedestrian crossing.

There are lots of stairs on the loop.

From mid-June to the end of September, access to the forests of the Alpes-Maritimes depends on the daily fire risk map by commune: risque-prevention-incendie.fr/alpes-maritimes. On a “red” day, entering the forest is banned all day.

Facts checked on 26.10.2026.
