Sainte-Marguerite Island Pier
The start of a loop around the largest of the Lérins Islands
The story
Sainte-Marguerite is the largest of the Lérins Islands, opposite Cannes. There are no cars here: the island is closed to all vehicles. It belongs to the state and is managed by the National Forests Office. Since 2006, all of its forest has been a biological reserve of about 152 hectares. From the pier, the trail runs west along the shore to the salt pond of Batéguier.
Visiting
Bicycles and kick scooters are banned on the island. No smoking and no fires in the forest.
