Pointe de l’Aiguille trail

A loop from the Théoule-sur-Mer seafront. The trail follows the sea to the Pointe de l’Aiguille, where red rock needles of solidified lava rise from the water. Then it climbs through the park’s woods above the bay and returns to Théoule. By the point there are small beaches in coves with clear water.

Where to start

The Théoule-sur-Mer seafront by the tourist office, next to the “Théoule Plage” bus stop. You can also start from the Pointe de l’Aiguille park car park on the D6098 road.

Before you go

The department used to describe this loop as route no. 57. It is not in the current Randoxygène guide, so the length and time come from the earlier description.

The park is open April 1 to October 31 from 7:00 to 20:00, and November 1 to March 31 from 8:00 to 18:00. It closes when the fire risk is high, in strong wind and during works.

In the park, no cycling, no horse riding, no fires, no camping and no picking plants. Keep dogs on a leash all year.

From mid-June to mid-September, access to the forests of the Alpes-Maritimes depends on the daily fire risk map by commune: risque-prevention-incendie.fr/alpes-maritimes.

Facts checked on 30.10.2026.
