The story

This is the upper start of the Kaledonia trail, at about 1,570 meters. From here the trail runs through thick forest and drops down to the Cold River. In Greek it’s called Krios Potamos. Water flows in this river all year round. As far as the waterfall, the trail is part of the European long-distance path E4. It is in the hardest category on the Department of Forests scale: the third of three.

Visiting

You can also drive to the start along the old Troodos–Platres road, past the President’s summer residence.
