La Croë Point
The southernmost part of the trail, below the walls of the Château de la Croë
The story
Here the trail rounds the southern edge of Cap d’Antibes, below the walls of the Château de la Croë grounds. The château was built in 1927. A little further on, the customs officers’ lane, the chemin des Douaniers, leaves the coastal trail and heads inland. Beyond it, below Villa Eilenroc, the cliffs are being reinforced, and a stretch of about 50 meters is closed until May 31, 2027. Villa Eilenroc itself was built between 1860 and 1867. It belongs to the town.
Visiting
While the section below Villa Eilenroc is closed, turn off here onto the customs officers’ lane (chemin des Douaniers) or go back the way you came.
